MATH THINKING IN PROGRESS

Math time is a thinking time.  We work with each other to come up with different ways to solve problems.  

ANIMAL TRACKS

Today we learned about animal tracks, pretended to be animals and learned how they walk, and made treats for our bird friends.  What a day!

The First Snow!

It's a tradition for the Nature Cats to go out and enjoy the first snow.  I think we accomplished our mission!

Serious Math Thinking

Math isn't only about adding and subtracting.  It's about problem solving and finding multiple solutions.  Here is a great example of math thinking!

NATURE CAT PROJECT DAY

We had a great day working on some projects in our outdoor classroom.  We planted bulbs, picked what was left in the garden and made community paper.  We also did a mindful eating activity with apples.  They were delicious!!!  

Earlier in the week we had our butterfly hatch.  We said goodbye to our friend and wished it well on it's long journey south.

WELCOME BACK

Welcome back everyone!  We've had a busy start to our year!  We wanted to welcome everyone, new and old, to our Nature Cat community!  We are looking forward to another year of learning, exploring and discovering.  We hope to see you all at Open House on Thursday September 20th at 6:00.
